Shooting a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Camera

S
A gift from a co-worker

This camera was in pretty bad shape but after some scrubbing and WD-40 I was able to get it open and after some work the shutter starting working well enough to get some images.

This model of the Brownie were made from 1949-1961. You have only two jobs with this camera…make a composition then fire the shutter.

It was originally made to shoot 620 film, but that isn’t an option now, so with some tweaking you can make 120 film fit in the camera. I loaded some Ilford HP5+ in the camera not knowing if it had light leaks or would even advance the film.

These are the best images from that roll.
