Did I mention it’s very windy too? Brrrr…

I practiced this time by holding it (remember no IS) and capturing my son playing in the backyard. He was running back and forth from one fence to the other fence.

All of these shots are 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/500 to 1/1000 with an ISO of 400 to 1000.

I used Lightroom to clean them up a bit and add about 30 to 50 on noise reduction.

We got his shin guards and shoes yesterday and he was so excited that we had to put them on last night and play some in the dark.

Why are these the best kids shoes?

Well we think they are great shoes because..

1. They last …trust me your child’s feet will outgrown them before they tear up.

2. They are washable…let me say that again…they are washable…just throw them in. nuff said…

3. They are comfortable and look great.

Jask has enjoyed wearing them since he was old enough to need good playing shoes. Each pair have been great.

Jack of course picked the Nashville Zoo…so off we went.

Did I mention it was 97 today? yeah it as hot.

Jack hated go, but we did have a good time.

It was our anniversary and yes we could have done something just ourselves, but we decided for this quick trip (we leave for vacation in two weeks) we would make it a family trip.

After leaving the Air Force and returning to school, I had given up on getting married and having a child hadn’t even crossed my mind. I left for Tennessee Tech University to get my degree and then get out of dodge and head to Virginia, Georgia, or even back out West.

It’s when you least expect it that love hits you upside the head like a frying pan. There you were across from me in that Sunday School class with those horrible glasses (I wish I had a picture)…but to be honest I wasn’t paying attention to those glasses, it was those legs that got my attention … but I digress…. I never thought of dating again and then you entered my life.

It wasn’t easy with the trials of you working and me going to school and when we married and lived in that horrible apartment on 4th street with the drug folks upstairs and the dumpster smell outside our window…we have come a long way.

We went to church this morning where Gerri and Jack had a tea party in Jack’s Sunday School class.

Then jack begged us to take him to Captain D’s as that is his favorite place to eat…so off we went to Captn

After lunch we went to Granny and Pa’s house to give Granny her present and while we was there we decided to take a few pictures outside.

Well Jack wasn’t much in a mood for pictures so we had to battle with him, but in the end we got some good pictures of Jack and Gerri together.
