My most used carry weapons.

I keep this custom made Roger Needham curly maple knife in my bag or vehicle. The curve on the blade close to the handle is for removing pots from a fire. Great knife from a great maker – Roger Needham.

My firearm is a Para USA PDA 9mm 3″ handgun. It has a match grade barrel with trijicon night sights with a 8+1 magazine. It shots dead on and is only limited by my skill.

I carry it in a Crossbreed horsehide IWB holster or in my Milt Sparks belt holster with sharkskin.

I’ll showcase my other pistols in future posts.

It’s worth 9 minutes of viewing.

I won’t try and list all the things that went wrong but here are a few.

1. Don’t try to draw from the pocket when the guy is 2 feet in front of you
2. Don’t shoot wildly over the top of stacks because the other worker was back there plus most of the shots went into the ceiling
3. Cross fire with co worker could have got them killed by each other (practice what you would do over and over)
4. Once they leave the store stop firing…if they get hit outside and they can prove it you are in a world of hurt in the courtroom
5. If you carry in your own store care your weapon in a good waist holster or in a shoulder holster so that it’s easier to get too.
6. Worker behind the counter should have had access to a long gun (shotgun or AR style weapon)

So I posted the question to a great gun forum called pistol-forum.com. The post got a lot of tips which I am very thankful for…even Julie G provided some tips for Gerri.

We finally had time tonight to practice some of the tips provided by the group. Here is the result of those tips and some practice.

Why? Because it is used most and if it’s used the most then production of it will be the highest and your chances of finding 9mm after your stash runs out is be the best.

My brother Mike was in town so he went with Dad and me. Glad we got to go before the weather moved in.

Had fun shooting a lot of guns including my new Springfield Armory .45 ACP Range Officer.

Quick a few people had the same idea that we did, but it wasn’t so busy that you lost time waiting for other people. Wind was up but we shot fairly well.
