Canon 400mm 5.6f Practice

This lens needs light like a Tennessee good ol boy needs Sundrop. It works best with light as the 5.6 doesn’t give you much to play with as far as deep shadows or low light evenings.

I practiced this time by holding it (remember no IS) and capturing my son playing in the backyard. He was running back and forth from one fence to the other fence.

All of these shots are 5.6 with a shutter speed of 1/500 to 1/1000 with an ISO of 400 to 1000.

I used Lightroom to clean them up a bit and add about 30 to 50 on noise reduction.
