Canon 400mm 5.6f Practice

This lens needs light like a Tennessee good ol boy needs Sundrop. It works best with light as the 5.6 doesn’t give you much to play with as far as deep shadows or low light evenings. I practiced this time by holding it (remember no IS) and capturing my son playing in the backyard. He was running back and forth from one fence to the other fence. Jack’s first soccer practice

Tullahoma Soccer Association   We had a good time tonight going to Jack’s first practice. The weather was hot as in 95 and the sun almost hurt it shone so bright. My new Precioussss

Cameras come and go and one day I will replace my 7D and T1i, but glass lasts (hopefully) much longer. I added a Canon EF 400mm L 5.6 to my collection today. This will be used mainly for nature and sports. I couldn’t afford the IS version but one thing I won’t miss is the weight that IS adds to a lens. This lens is much lighter weight than my 70-200mm IS 2.8 and it’s fast on the focus which as a Prime lens it should. Looking...
