Black Bears and more black bears
Our trip to Cades Cove was a huge success, if you measure success by the number of bears that we saw as well as small crowds and few cars.
We were so happy with the number of bear spottings that we didn’t notice the gnats and black flies…well all most.
Our early rise to get there really paid off as we say bears at two locations (and hear about two other spottings as well).
The first bear we saw was a yearling and he let us know that we was a little to close by snorting and slapping the tree that you see in the pictures.
The other pictures are of a mother and one of her cubs (she had 3 total).
